excited for BB10

but not really keeping my hopes up. i absolutely love my blackberry but i’m starting to find it a drag now. the ones i’ve had before my current one were tanks and i was so attached to them that they might as well be surgically implanted onto my hand.

i got my recent bold 9900 a year ago because it was supposed to be good and promising, but the battery dies so quickly i’ve since had to buy portable and car chargers, sometimes even bringing my charger out. the OS, while it looks much nicer now, is just plain bad. my phone restarts randomly and once its even crashed on me, almost wiping out all my data if i hadn’t the habit to back it up every week. in other words, it was a huge disappointment. the only thing that has remained constant is their keyboards. point in case, blackberries are supposed to be serious devices; except i can’t take it seriously with such huge flaws as such.

i just hope RIM pulls through with their new phones–their camera looks so awesome, the number of apps supposedly available on the app store at launch (15k submitted in one weekend), and their keyboard; but mostly being my upgrade is only available in march, is what has held me back on several occasions from just going out and getting a new phone. for me, BB10 is their last chance before i jump on the iphone wagon.

  1. BB10? Didn’t realize that they were still cranking new ones out. ;)

I’m considering actually shifting from iPhone to Nexus….I’ve been looking at the Nexus 10 tablet and it’s pretty impressive.

      • Just bought a Nexus 7in mini-tablet to test drive but it won’t get here for another 2-3weeks! Ugh!

The 32GB 10in tablets are still out of stock in Canada so I’ll have to wait on them….though…I’m wondering if I should just wait till the next iteration of the Nexus 10in Tabs….I’ve read some pretty juicy rumors about it’s iPad killing ability. lol
